Kolundayev Village School is the Winner of the XIX Rally of “Sholokhov Source”

For the nineteenth time Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya hosted the members of the children and youth environmental movement “Sholokhov Source”. The rally took place during April 23–26, 2018, in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. It was joined by 18 teams from the Rostov, Volgograd, Orenburg regions, the republics of Kalmykia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia, Kazakhstan and the Lugansk People’s Republic.
Awarding M.A.Sholokhov the International Literary “Lotus” Prize

40 years ago, in 1978, M.A.Sholokhov was awarded the international literary prize “Lotus” by the Association of Writers of Asia and Africa for the works promoting friendship between peoples, development of national cultures and literatures. The ceremony of presenting the medal and laureate diploma took place on May 6, 1978, in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya.
Volunteer Action “The Forest You will Plant”

On April 25, 2018, a volunteer action “The Forest You will Plant” was held in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. It took place in the forest park “Pearl of Eurasia”, where original species compositions were created to symbolize the places where the outstanding writers and poets were born, lived and worked.
Exhibition of May Day Postcards

The exhibition “Holiday Postcard for the Favourite Writer” is dedicated to the Holiday of Spring and Labour. It will run on April 30, and May 1, in the interactive area “Entertaining Hamlet”. The visitors will be shown Soviet postcards of the period 1950 –1980, from the archives of the Sholokhovs’ family.

The VI International Children and Youth Research Conference “Sholokhov Geography: from the Source to the Nobel Triumph” took place in the People’s House of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov on April 25, 2018. The subject of the conference was “Literary Landscapes is a Cultural Heritage of the Nation”.
Environmental Orienteering in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov

On April 25, 2018, a competition “Ecoorienteering” was held in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. It was joined by 17 teams of young ecologists from the Rostov Region, Elista (Kalmykia), Nalchik (Kabardino-Balkaria), Vladikavkaz (North Ossetia), the Lugansk People’s Republic, Daryinskoye Village and from Uralsk (the Kazakhstan Republic).
First Tourists on the “Literary Trail”

On April 24, 2018, the first tourists walked by the itinerary “Literary Trail «Genius Loci»” of the forest park “Pearl of Eurasia”. They were the members of the XIX Rally of the Children and Youth Environmental Movement “Sholokhov Source”.
