On July 9, 2018, Zinaida Mikhailovna Kiriyenko, a theatre and cinema actress, pop singer, the RSFSR People’s Actress, the Winner of the USSR State Prize, marks her jubilee anniversary. The actress became famous and loved after her role of Natalya in the film “The Quiet Don” (1958) made by the film director S.A.Gerasimov.

During July 2–6, 2018, “All-Russian School of Writers” was held in the South Federal District, in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, the homeland of the Nobel Prize winner in literature. It was organized by the Foundation for the Socio-Economic and Intellectual Programs jointly with the journal “Moskva” under the financial support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications.

On July 1, 2018, about 1500 World Cup fans celebrated the victory of the Russian team in the match against Spain in Sholokhov-Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. That field day was marked with the performance of “Pravoslavny Don”, one of the best folklore Cossack ensembles of Russia.
