On September 22, 2018, in Stanitsa Buzulukskaya the Volgograd Region, an opening ceremony of the bust of M.A.Sholokhov took place. The event was timed to the celebration of the 388th anniversary of the stanitsa.

According to the restoration project, the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve continues a complex restoration of the central site – the Estate of M.A.Sholokhov in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya (94, Podtyolkov Str.), where the writer lived and worked during 1949 – 1984.

On a fine September sunny day, Svetlana Mikhailovna Sholokhova, the daughter of the great Russian writer, received guests from Japan. The two young ladies – Kyoko Tanaka and Yoko Otsuka – had long dreamed of visiting distant Russia and meeting with the family of M.A.Sholokhov.

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov is awarded the Diploma of the Third Degree of the First Professional Tourist Prize “Events of Russia” in the nomination “Culture. Folk Festivals and Holidays”. Its final took place in Moscow on September 12, 2018.
Sholokhov Museum at the 24th International Tourist Exhibition “Rest”

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the 24th International Tourist Exhibition “Rest-2018” held during September 11–13, 2018, in Moscow, central exhibition complex “ExpoCentre”. The forum was held under the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Agency for Tourism, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Tour Industry. The exhibition presented about 50 countries of the world including Japan, a partner country of the event, the Dominican Republic, an official partner of the exhibition, the Maldives, Thailand, India, European countries and regions of Russia.
