The Year of Literature Closing Ceremony Took Place in “Sholokhov-Centre”

A closing ceremony of the Year of Literature in the Rostov Region took place on December, 18, in “Sholokhov-Centre” of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.

The leaving year of 2015, the Year of Literature in Russia, was marked by a number of significant anniversaries including the 110th anniversary of M.A.Sholokhov and the 50th anniversary of awarding him the Nobel Prize. A number of publishing projects of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov were dedicated to these events.

Memories of the Civil War

The collections of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov are entered with the memories of Yakov Nazarovich Lagutin, a veteran of the First World War and the Civil War. He was a personage in the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” by M.A.Sholokhov bearing his real surname.

The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve held classes dedicated to the 50th anniversary of awarding M.A.Sholokhov the Nobel Prize in literature for the senior students of the Sholokhov school in Vyoshenskaya.
