The sculptural composition “Grigory and Aksiniya” put up at the embankment of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya has become one of the five objects of the Rostov Region chosen for transmitting at the XXIV international exhibition “Svyaz-Expocomm-2012”.

An exhibition “Tales of A.S. Pushkin” is going to open on the days of the all-Russian literary and ethnographic festivity “Sholokhov Spring” in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, in the Excursion-Exhibition Centre “The People’s House” of the National Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. The exhibition is laid out by the biggest Pushkin Museum of Russia – the State A.S. Pushkin Museum in Moscow.

An all-Russian literary-folklore festivityof “Sholokhov Spring” devoted to the 107th anniversary of the great Russian writer M.A. Sholokhov will be held on May, 25-26, in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya. The tenor of this year celebration will be the 75th jubilee of the Rostov Region.

An exhibition “The Treasures of the Steppes” was opened on April, 23, 2012, in the Excursion-Exhibition Centre “The People’s House’’ of the National Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. The unique exhibits from the rich collection were presented by the Azov Historical-Archaeological and Palaeontological Museum-Reserve.
A New Status of the Giant Oak

Within the frames of the all-Russian program “The Trees, Living Nature Memorials”, in the spring of 2011, the Giant Oak of Vyoshenskaya was given a status of an all-Russian rarity. The program provides for the state protection of the natural memorial and sanitary-recovering measures for rehabilitation and maintaining the tree in a proper condition.
