The exhibition “Traces of Cossack Old Times…” from the collection of the State Hermitage, the main museum in Russia and the major museum of the world, has a successful run in the recently opened new site of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve in Rostov-on-Don.
The Conference Devoted to the Work of Sholokhov in the World Literature Institute

The Institute of the World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, on June, 2–3, 2015, will hold an International scientific conference “The Literary Heritage of M.A.Sholokhov in the XXI Century”, which will be joined by the scholars from Russia, Lithuania, Serbia, China and India. The program is planned to include three plenary meetings (19 participants in all) and a roundtable talk “Studies in the Work of Sholokhov: Modern State and Prospects”. The conference is organized by the Institute of the World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.

For the 110th anniversary of our great countryman Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov, the ensemble of author’s song “Vyoshentsy” (countrymen of Vyoshenskaya) prepared a program from the home song poetry of the 60–70-s and the songs born in the group. The guests of the festival “Sholokhov Spring” attended the concert of the ensemble in the Excursion-Exhibition Centre “People’s House” of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

This year, one of the bright pages of the children literary and folklore festival “Sholokhov Spring” was an educational interactive program “The Great Patriotic War” prepared by the Aksai War and History Museum. It was dedicated to the 110th anniversary of M.A.Sholokhov and the 70th anniversary of the Victory of our people in the Great Patriotic War.

On May, 23, the All-Russian literary and folklore festival “Sholokhov Spring” dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the great Russian writer M.A.Sholokhov was over. The festivities lasted all day long till late at night gathering thousands of participants and viewers from all parts of Russia and foreign countries.
