During March 14–15, 2019, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov held interactive museum classes and workshops in Rostov-on-Don for the students of schools No 118 and No 81, and for the children of preparatory groups of kindergarten No 96 “Evrika-Razvitiye”.

Today it is the 210th birthday anniversary of Yakov Petrovich Baklanov (1809–1873), Major General of the Don Cossacks Army, Hero of the Caucasian War. In the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” by M.A.Sholokhov the name of Baklanov is mentioned more than 10 times.

March 15, 1965, was the day of the film premiere “Unbidden Love” made by the film director Vladimir Monakhov in 1964, based on the short story “Alien Blood” by Mikhail Sholokhov. The film screenplay was written by the well-known screenwriter Arnold Vitol.
