It is with deep sorrow that we inform that on January 6, 2019, Herman Sergeyevich Yermolayev, the well-known in Russia and abroad literary scholar of the work of M.A.Sholokhov, professor of the Princeton University (the USA), died.

On January 27, 2019, we celebrate the Day of Military Glory of Russia: it is the 75th anniversary of complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade. Almost 900 days and nights the city on the Neva lived fighting in a total blockade. The citizens, its defenders, starved and lacked sleep, but they bravely endured bombing and shelling. They withstood everything and did not surrender responding with a blow to the blows of the invaders.

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov is engaged in active publishing work and annually presents new editions. In the previous year, there were published modified and supplemented catalogues of the most interesting museum collections and the new issues of periodical editions – a book of collected papers “Vyoshenskiy Vestnik” and journal “Mir Sholokhova”.
The History of the House at the Estate of M.A.Sholokhov

An act of acceptance of the house at the estate of M.A.Sholokhov in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya was signed 70 years ago, on January 21, 1949. The construction was conducted during 1946 – 1949, according to the individual project designed by the project organization “Rostovoblproekt” of the RSFSR Ministry of Communal Services under the direction of the famous architect V.V.Barinov.
