Museum Classes for Young Rostovites
19.03.2019During March 14–15, 2019, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov held interactive museum classes and workshops in Rostov-on-Don for the students of schools No 118 and No 81, and for the children of preparatory groups of kindergarten No 96 “Evrika-Razvitiye”.
In class “Post-Office” the schoolchildren learned about the history of the post in the Don region, saw the first post seals, impresses and stamps, then they wrote their messages with metal pens, made paper envelopes and sealed them with sealing wax.
At the workshops the children learned the secrets of making a Cossack kuren (Cossack house) of clay, learned to picture with stained paints on the transparencies, to make dolls of different materials, paper flowers and bookmarks. Every member of the class got original souvenirs for memory.
The kindergarten children enjoyed a theatrical class “We Enjoy Shrovetide Week…”, where they learned many new things about old rites in the Don region and took part in the merry Shrovetide amusements.
The classes for the young rostovites were interesting and fruitful.
