Cacti Bloomed in the Forest Park of the Museum-Reserve

A rare and unusually beautiful phenomenon in the forest park “Pearl of Eurasia” was seen at the museum class by the boys and girls of the Children’s Health Camp of Vyoshenskaya school. A twisted prickly pear, exotic Mexican cactus, bloomed in the sands of Vyoshenskaya.
Treasures of the Famous Moscow Academic Art Theatre in Sholokhov-Centre

An opening ceremony of the exhibition “Moscow Academic Art Theatre-XX Century. Theatre Treasures” from the Museum of the Moscow Academic Art Theatre took place on June 7, in Sholokhov-Centre of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. The exhibition shows the best exhibits including those which first left the famous theatre founded in 1899, by K.S.Stanislavsky and V.I.Nemirovich-Danchenko.
“The Film is Supposed to Succeed…”

45 years ago, on June 10, 1974, the film crew “They Fought for Their Country” met with M.A.Sholokhov. According to the writer’s advice the filming took place near Melologovsky Village the Volgograd Region, near Stanitsa Kletskaya. In summer 1942, there was a crossing of the Soviet troops retreating to Stalingrad and a fierce fighting witnessed by the writer. There were preserved trenches, and the ground was littered with shrapnel and shells.

During September 11–13, 2019, the XXI International Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Studies in the Work of M.A.Sholokhov: Problems, Concepts and Approaches” – traditional “Sholokhov Readings”– will take place in the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya.
