“The Peoples of the Crimea” in the Don Country

On March 17, 2017, the Excursion and Exhibition Centre “People’s House” of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya will open the exhibition “The Peoples of the Crimea” from the Crimean Ethnographical Museum.

On March 16, 2017, the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve opens the exhibition “On the Quiet, on the Free, on the Glorious Don…” in the Russian Centre of Science and Culture in Vienna. The exhibition project devoted to the work of the great Russian writer M.A.Sholokhov will be held in the frames of the Russia –Austria Cross Year of Tourism.

The Second International Scientific and Practical Conference “Cossacks Abroad. 1917–2017: Lessons of the Century” held on February 18–19, 2017, in the Russian Orthodox Spiritual and Cultural Centre in Paris raised an issue of Cossacks consolidation based on the Russian cultural, historical and spiritual moral traditions. On the one platform it brought together descendants of the Cossack emigrants, representatives of the contemporary Cossack societies and associations, representatives of the State Government bodies, ministers of the Russian Orthodox Church, figures of science, culture and education.
