Literary Social in Memory of M.A.Sholokhov in the Soka University (Japan)

On June 14, the Soka University (Japan, Tokyo) held a literary social “Sholokhov: Russian Writer of the World Significance”. The social was organized under the support of the Russian Centre of the Soka University and its leader Professor Stella Sivakova. The guests were welcomed by Professor Sagae.

On June 8, 2017, a class devoted to the story “The Fate of a Man” by M.A.Sholokhov took place in the Soka University (Japan, Tokyo). It was held by Mitsuro Egouti, professor of the University, within the frames of the subject “Intercultural Communication”.

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov purchased a number of editions of the novel “Virgin Soil Upturned” not found previously in the Museum collection. The books are notable for the fact that most of them were published during the lifetime of the writer (1967, 1974, 1979, 1980). The geography of publication places is diverse – Leningrad, Khabarovsk, Minsk, and others.
