On December 13, it is the 110th anniversary of Evgheny Mikhailovich Sholokhov, a cousin of M.A.Sholokhov. Evgheny Mikhailovich was near and dear to the writer from his childhood and during his lifetime.

On December 4, 2016, it is the 110th anniversary of the sisters of Mariya Petrovna Sholokhova – Anna Petrovna and Polina Petrovna. During the whole life the sisters were good friends with the family of Mikhail Alexandrovich and Mariya Petrovna, they often visited and corresponded.

On December 15, 2016, the Memorial House in the Estate of M.A.Sholokhov will open the exhibition “Happy New Year!” which will show New Year postcards of the 1950–1980s sent to the writer and his family.

Museum Classes for Rostov Schoolchildren

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov gave classes in Rostov-on-Don for the students of school 96 “Evrika-Razvitiye” and of gymnasium 118. The program of the visiting classes was devoted to the life and work of the great Russian writer M.A.Sholokhov and the culture and traditions of the Don Cossacks.
