“In Search of the Lost Library”

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov continues the project “In Search of the Lost Library”. Within its realization the Museum collection is added with the books analogous of those existed in the prewar library of the writer.

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the XXIV General Conference of the International Museum Council (ICOM), which took place on July 3–9, in Italy, in Congress-Centre of Milan. The conference was themed “Museums and Cultural Landscapes”.

An interactive project for children “Summer Holidays in Sholokhov-Centre” continues in Sholokhov Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. This is a three-day program including the exhibition “A Find on the Edge of the Earth” and a cycle of master-classes.

The All-Russian contest of school compositions on the works by M.A.Sholokhov was announced by the department of Russian literature of the Institute of Humanitarian Sciences “Moscow City Pedagogical University” jointly with the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya and the scientific educational national journal “Mir Sholokhova” in April 2016.

From June 27, to July 1, the students of Gymnasium 118 of Rostov-on-Don had a visiting summer educational practice “Vyoshki-2016”. The Practice Program was informative and very interesting: visiting exhibitions, museum interactive classes and tours.
