On July 29, the Excursion and Exhibition Centre “People’s House” will open a personal photo exhibition “Genius Loci”of the well-known Rostov photo artist Karp Pashinyan.

From “Sholokhov Source” to “Artek”

Annually, beginning with 2006, the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve holds International extramural contest of research works of the children and youth environmental movement “Sholokhov Source”. The contestants are students of secondary educational schools, of supplementary educational institutions, members of children’s public associations of Russia and near foreign countries. During the 17 years the Movement has developed a rich scientific history: it held four scientific conferences and published four collections of scientific works “Sholokhov Geography: from the Sources to the Nobel Triumph”.

On July 15, the National Museum of the Tatarstan Republic opened the exhibition “The Images of the Immortal Pages”.Book Graphics on the Works of M.A.Sholokhov”. The exhibition was a continuation of cooperation and an answer to the exhibition of the National Museum of the Tatarstan Republic “Arts and Crafts of the Kazan Tatars: History and Modernity”, which was shown this spring in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

Om July 20, it is the 105th anniversary of Alexander Arsentyevich Bakharev (1911–1974), a writer and journalist, a wonderful essayist and a close friend of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov. The main subject of the work of Bakharev was man’s life on the earth.

On July 13–15, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov held the II Round of the XVII Rally of the children and youth environmental movement “Sholokhov Source” joined by the teams from Kazakhstan, North Ossetia, from Boguchar, Nikolayevsk-on-Volga, the Rostov and Volgograd regions.
