“Happy New Year!”
28.11.2016On December 15, 2016, the Memorial House in the Estate of M.A.Sholokhov will open the exhibition “Happy New Year!” which will show New Year postcards of the 1950–1980s sent to the writer and his family.
M.A.Sholokhov received a lot of congratulations from all parts of our country and abroad including New Year greetings from his relatives, friends, readers of his works, Soviet and foreign writers, schoolchildren, authority representatives, figures of culture and art, and soldiers.
The visitors will also see the postcards written by Mikhail Alexandrovich. He sent some of them to his relatives and friends during his travelling abroad.
The exhibition will run until January 15, 2017. On these days all the visitors will have a unique opportunity to write New Year’s greetings of 2017 on the postcards of the Soviet period and send them from the Memorial House of the great writer.
