On February 16, 2018, an exhibition “I Had the Wit of Living My Life through So Silly” devoted to the great actress Faina Ranevskaya, who was well-known and loved by millions, will begin running in the People’s House of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. The exhibits are provided by the State Central Theatre Museum named after A.A.Bakhrushin (Moscow).
The First Scientific Edition of the Novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” by M.A.Sholokhov

In 2017, the first scientific edition of the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” by M.A.Sholokhov was issued. It was prepared in the A.M. Gorky Institute of the World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences. It was a result of the long painstaking work of the researchers, who according to the principles of the domestic textology were the first to verify all the known text sources of the work beginning with autographs and ending with the last lifetime collection of works of the writer. Besides, they carefully studied the history of creation of all the four books of the novel.

According to the results of the initiative all-Russian survey “All-Russian Centre for the Study of Public Opinion – Sputnik”, which was conducted among Russians during January 19–20, 2018, the writer Mikhail Sholokhov was said to be one of the best-known compatriots of the XX century.
