Creative Contests for Schoolchildren

29.01.2018

Students aged 7–17, of the Rostov Region educational institutions are invited for participation in creative contests of stories about the Don writers and poets, and of drawings illustrating proverbs and sayings within the project “ «Language is a Spiritual Code of Nation» (spiritual prospects of Russia at the turn of the centuries)”.

The large-scale project realized by the Rostov Region Centre for Assistance to Development of the Civil Society and Public Diplomacy is aimed at improving literacy of the population, stimulating the public interest in learning and popularizing the Russian language, developing communication skills among the inhabitants of the Don area, especially younger generation, and a careful and respectful attitude to the native language and literature.

In the project a special attention is paid to schoolchildren and university students. In order to attract children and adolescents to the literary and artistic creativity, two contests are held:

- a contest of stories about countrymen-writers and their works;

- a contest of drawings illustrating children’s understanding the meaning of Russian proverbs and sayings.

The authors of the original works in the form of a story or a drawing that score the most points will be awarded diplomas and cups. The mentors of the winners will also be marked.

The Centre for Assistance to Development of the Civil Society and Public Diplomacy realizes the project under the support of a number of state institutions and public organizations including the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.
