Night of Arts in Sholokhov Museum, Our Favourite

Today, on November 4, 2018, the annual All-Russian cultural and educational action ”Night of Arts” mottoed “Art Unites” is held for the sixth time, and the website “Культура.РФ” has started showing the first all-Russian online voting “My Favourite Museum”.

The People’s House started showing two exhibitions from the collections of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. The exhibition “Poetry of Nature: the Don Landscapes” shows paintings by the well-known artists, and the exhibition “In the Country of Porcelain and Faience” tells about ceramic tableware manufactured at the famous Kuznetsov’s factories late in the XIX – early in the XX centuries.

Writer Alexander Lapin Visited Sholokhov Museum

During October 29–30, 2018, the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve was visited by Alexander Alexeyevich Lapin, a writer, journalist and public man.
Sholokhov Museum at the IV All-Russian Festival-Contest “Tourist Souvenir”

The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve became the finalist of the festival-contest “Tourist Souvenir”. The contest was held in several stages. The first stage, by correspondence, started in July 2018. 2296 products from 63 regions of Russia claimed for the victory. The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov submitted for the experienced jury a souvenir “Spinning Wheel” designed and made by the Museum worker A.M.Frolov. The souvenir is a 5 times smaller copy of the object, which was most important for Cossack women.
Sholokhov Museum Took Part in the XX Felitsyn Readings

The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve took part in the interregional scientific and practical conference “Felitsyn Readings-XX” (The problems of preservation, study and museumfication of historical, cultural and natural heritage), which was held during October 23–25, 2018, in Krasnodar.
Sholokhov Museum will Join the All-Russian Inclusive Action “Museum for All!”

On November 30, 2018, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov will hold in the excursion and exhibition centre museum classes “Cossack Hamlet” within the all-Russian inclusive action “Museum for All!” of the ICOM project “Inclusive Museum”. The classes will be joined by children with disabilities, their families, friends and other guests.
