“The Khopyor Daybreaks of Mikhail Sholokhov” in Bukanovskaya

On June, 20, 2009, in Stanitsa Bukanovskaya of the Kumylzhenskiy District, the Volgograd Region, there was held an ecological and local-lore holiday “The Khopyor Daybreaks” of Mikhail Sholokhov”. It was participated by the delegation of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve headed by the director A.M. Sholokhov.

On the 12th of June, 2009, the Day of Russia, a folk group “Zarnitsa” of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve performed at the II Interregional Cossack Festival “The Twelve Pearls” held in Uliyanovsk.

This is the name of the exhibition which is open in the excursion and exhibition centre “The People’s House” of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. It is devoted to the 85th anniversary of the foundation of the Vyoshenskiy District of the Rostov Region and tells about Vyoshenskaya of the 50-60-s of the past century.

The Museum is Honoured with Grand Prix of the National Prize “EcoWorld”

The State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve became the Grand Prix winner of the national ecological prize “EcoWorld-2009”. It was awarded with a special Diploma of the First Degree. The director of the Museum A.M. Sholokhov was invested with the Badge of Honour “For Merits”. The awarding ceremony took place on June, 4, 2009, in the State Duma of the Federal Meeting of the Russian Federation.
