Preparations for “Sholokhov Spring” are in Progress

On May, 13, 2009, at the Rostov Region Administration there was held a session of the organizing committee on preparation for the celebration of the 104th anniversary of M.A. Sholokhov’s birthday. It was participated by the director of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve A.M. Sholokhov.

On May, 21-23, 2009, in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, in the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve a session of the State Duma’s Committee on Culture will take place. At the session a most acute subject will be discussed: “On Amending the Legislation about the Museums and Museum-Reserves”.
Who is Going to Be the Millionth Visitor?

Annually the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve is attended by more than 60 thousand visitors from different parts of our country and abroad. This year a flow of tourists has increased. According to the preliminary calculation in 2009 the Museum will be attended by the millionth visitor.
“Our Sholokhov” Contest

The State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve annually before the writer’s birthday helds survey-contests on artistic reciting, fine art, decorative-applied arts and crafts among schoolchildren. This year it was participated by 21 schools from the Sholokhov and Bokovskiy districts. The reciting contest was won by Zoya Shevchenko, Viktoria Nikitina, Nadezhda Vorotyntseva, Marianna Sokolova, Ruslan Shalyghin, Anzhelika Zakharchenko.
Moscow Schoolchildren on the Native Land of M.A. Sholokhov

This April Stanitsa Veshenskaya was visited by a group of schoolchildren and teachers of Moscow school number 339. They made up their mind of visiting the native land of the great writer after attending the international tourist exhibition “Intourmarket-2009”, in which the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve is a constant member. The information displayed on the Museum exhibition stand attracted not only tour operators and tour company managers, but also school teachers.

In The People’s House of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve on April, 24, 2009, an exhibition of the Yaroslavl State Historical-Arhitectural and Art Museum-Reserve “Gold Legend of Yaroslavl” began its exposition.
