“Sholokhov Spring” Invites You to Vyoshenskaya on May, 24-25

On May, 24–25, in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, an all-Russian literary and folklore holiday “Sholokhov Spring” dedicated to the 108th anniversary of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov, the great Russian writer, Nobel Prize winner in literature, is going to be held.
To Attract Visitors to the Museum

Various activities, new sections added to the main exposition, modern technologies providing wide opportunities in the study and dissemination of Sholokhov’s heritage are used to attract visitors of different age to the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.
Tourism Development in Reserved Territories was Discussed

On March, 6, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took part in the talk on “Rural Tourism and Reserved Territories. The Importance of Charished Natural Areas and Museum-Reserves in the Development of the Russian Remote Places”, which was organized on the initiative of the RF Public House Commission on culture and conservation of the historic and cultural heritage and the EcoCentre “Reserves”.
New Additions to the Museum Collection

In 2012, the Museum collection stock increased by 972 museum objects including 197 of those added to the documentary collection, 155 – to the ware collection, 99 – to the “Fine Art Collection”, 190 – to the book collection, 331 – to the photo-film-audio collection.

On February, 21, the Palace of Culture “Vyoshensky” was packed: the commemoration event dedicated to the memory of M.A.Sholokhov was visited by old countrymen, who knew the writer, veterans of the Great Patriotic war, school and college students and teachers, representatives of the institutions and organizations, and stanitsa’s guests.
