NewsPreparations for “Sholokhov Spring” are in Progress15.05.2009On May, 13, 2009, at the Rostov Region Administration there was held a session of the organizing committee on preparation for the celebration of the 104th anniversary of M.A. Sholokhov’s birthday. It was participated by the director of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve A.M. Sholokhov. The deputy-head of the Rostov Region Governor A.I. Bedrik said that for the writer’s birthday in the Rostov Region a complex of events was framed. It includes conferences, literary readings, exhibitions in the museums, libraries and educational enterprises, as well as meetings with the writers. The all - Russia’s literary folklore holiday “Sholokhov Spring” in StanitsaVyoshenskaya will be held this year on May, 22-24. The Rostov Region Administration annually significantly contributes to the preparation and holding the events and finances them. On the federal part the holiday organizer is the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve on the means allotted for this purpose. At the session of the organizing committee there were discussed the subjects of organizing the holiday, receiving folk groups and numerous guests. The holiday of “Sholokhov Spring” is going to be held for the 24th time and has got its traditions. Like in previous years there will be a folk festivity in the village of Kruzhilinskiy and Stanitsa Karghinskaya, a merry children folklore holiday “Vyoshenskiye Vesnushki”, a literary session-party at the Palace of Culture, a theatrical reveille in the streets of Vyoshenskaya, a merry fair “In the Town of Artisans”on the central square of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, concerts of the folk groups on the three stages, sport competitions, a great gala-performance on the Don embankment and a bright holiday firework. The tenor of the holiday will be a jubilee date: this year the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve is going to observe its 25th anniversary. O. Bakhtiyarova |
