110th Birth Anniversary of writer Martti Larni

On September 22 there was the 110th birth anniversary of the famous Finnish writer, publicist, satirist Martti Larni Johannes (1909-1993). Not only Finnish, but also Russian readers were well acquainted with his work. Many years of friendship and cooperation connected him with Mikhail Sholokhov.

In Russia about a quarter of all the forests of planet Earth are currently concentrated. This is a huge wealth of our country, which is preserved not only by the force of people engaged in this field, but also by all concerned people. A major role in this was played by Mikhail Sholokhov.

September 8, 2019 at the Cossack farmstead of Sholokhov Museum-Reserve in the Kruzhilinsky village there passed the tenth anniversary "Kruzhilinskiye toloki". This year, the festival was held under the slogan "Anniversary Shcherba" (fish soup) and was dedicated to the traditions and secrets of ancient Cossack fishing.
