On September 20, 2019 in the exhibition halls of the "Sholokhov Center" in Rostov-on-Don, a unique exhibition "East. Another beauty” from the funds of the “State Museum of Oriental Art” (Moscow) was opened.

The exhibition is devoted to a woman in traditional culture, her social role and comprehension of female beauty. The perception of female beauty in different parts of the world over various historical periods becomes the central theme of the exhibition.

But this exhibition tells visitors not only about the appearance of the oriental beauty (costume, jewelry), it also tells about woman’s inner world, illustrating it with fragments of female life, which traditionally remains a secret for a man.

The exhibition consists of over 280 items of women's clothing, jewelry, household items, paintings and graphics. A date with oriental beauties will be exciting and memorable. The exhibition will be open until December 1, 2019. Hurry up to enjoy the enchanting world of oriental beauty!
