“Children’s Sholokhov Spring” Took Place in Karghinskaya

A literary-folklore festival joined by children folk groups of Russia and foreign countries took place on May, 22, in Stanitsa Karghinskaya. The program was dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the Great Victory.
A Cossack and a Destrier Day and Night Together

The first day of the festival “Sholokhov Spring” ended in a spectacle “Steed is the Dearest for Cossack” participated by the equestrian group and the ensemble “Pravoslavny Don”, which took place at night at the stables of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

A New Exhibition in the Writer’s House

On May, 22, a new exhibition devoted to the meeting of the President of the Russian Federation V.V.Putin with the Sholokhovs family was opened. His event took place on May, 25, 2005, when the President visited Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of M.A.Sholokhov.
Grand Opening of “Sholokhov Centre” in Rostov-on-Don

On May, 22, in Rostov-on-Don, a grand opening of “Sholokhov-Centre” took place. It is a new site of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, which is going to be a venue for large exhibitions, cultural and educational projects in the Southern Federal District.

On May, 24, 1905, ,in Kruzhilin Village of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya the Donetsk Region, there came into the world a child, who was destined to write an important page in the history of the Don region and the country. Now the name of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov is famous all over the world. On May days his 110th anniversary is widely celebrated.
