The Holiday in Karghin School

The 50th anniversary of opening the new building of the school bearing the name of M.A.Sholokhov was celebrated in Stanitsa Karghinskaya on February,1. The people of Karghinskaya are proud of the fact that the great writer lived and worked in their place. Here he spent his childhood and youth, went to parish school and started his writing career. He always felt warm and loving about his village and countrymen.

The School of Karghin Celebrates Its Jubilee

The secondary school of Karghin, which history is inseparably connected with the name of M.A.Sholokhov, the great writer and our countryman, celebrates its jubilee. 50 years ago the school moved into a beautiful two-storey building. The writer donated his Lenin Prize for the novel “Virgin Soil Upturned” for construction of the school building.
