The Jubilee of Sholokhov Museum: from the Past into the Future

On July, 11, it is the 30th anniversary of the day when the RSFSR Council of Ministers adopted resolution №306 “On Immortalizing the Memory of M.A.Sholokhov, twice Hero of Socialist Labour, Writer and Public Figure”. By this document the establishment of the Museum-Reserve in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya was acknowledged and its structure and activity area were determined.

The XV rally of the children and youth environmental movement “Sholokhov Source” will take place on July, 9–11. It will be devoted to the 15th anniversary of the Movement and will gather the teams of the Rostov, Volgograd, Voronezh regions, North Ossetia, Kazakhstan and Abkhazia. The rally is themed “Environmental Education and Upbringing of the Young Generation”.

On the results of the 23d annual all-Russian competition “The Best Books of the Year” held by the Russian Association of Book Publishers, “Sholokhov Encyclopedia” is acknowledged to be the winner in the competition of 2013 in the nomination “The Best Dictionary- Encyclopedia Edition” and was awarded the Diploma.
