New Year Meetings at the Museum

The youth program department of the state Sholokhov museum-reserve held a series of New Year meetings with schoolchildren, each being full of interesting activities, games and contests.
Pushkin Has Come to the Don Again

On November, 21, 2008, the Excursion-Exhibition Centre “People’s House” of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve opened an exhibition “Alexander Pushkin. The Life and the Lyra”, held in the project of “The Museum Inside the Museum”. It displays the exhibits of the State A.S. Pushkin Museum collection.

The museum-workers of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve as members of the Rostov Region delegation took part in the annual exhibition of the World Travel Market-2008 which was held in November, from 10 till 13, in the capital of Great Britain at the great complex of ExCel.

The Sholokhov State Museum – Reserve has become a laureate of the National Tourist Prize named after Y. Senkevich in the nomination of “The Best Regional Museum”. This prize was established by the Federal Agency of Tourism in 2002 to encourage the achievements in the development of tour industry, to improve the quality of service, to stimulate the development of cultural-cognitive, ecological, sanitational and other kinds of tourism in the Russian Federation.

An opening ceremony of the exhibitions “Elabuga Has Turned 1000” and “Hussar Ballad” was held in “The People’s House” of the Excursion-Exhibition Centre, on July, 10, 2008. Their materials were borrowed from the holdings of the Elabuga State Historic-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve.
