“Visiting the Don Cossacks”
A program for the primary- and middle-level students of secondary comprehensive schools designed to provide an informative entertainment and recreation.
It enables the children to learn about the historical and cultural identity of the Don region, traditional trades and occupations of the Upper Don people late in the XIX–early in the XX century, provides knowledge about the origin of the Don mounds, types of Cossack houses and types of the Don toys. The children will acquire skills of fishing, basket weaving technique and learn to cook Cossack dishes.
