A Photo Chronicle from the Archives of M.Teslya
A photo collection from the archives of M.E.Teslya (183 storage units) was donated to the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov after his dearth by his wife, Praskoviya Filippovna Teslya.
Mikhail Yefimovich Teslya was the Secretary on ideology of the Rostov Regional CPSU Committee and often attended the meetings, events, ceremonies, which took place in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya, in the house of M.A. Sholokhov. Owing to those meetings the photo collection was made up.
The pictures show the visit of the Don Cossack song and dance group under A.Kvasov in Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya (1972), the arrival of the crew of the film “They Fought for Their Country” (1974), awarding the writer a certificate of the USSR Supreme Soviet Deputy (1979), celebration of the 75th anniversary of M.A.Sholokhov (1980), the opening ceremony of the bronze bust of M.A.Sholokhov at the Don embankment (1981). The pictures were made by press photographers B.Karalkin, Y.Grabovetsky, V.Krokhin, N.Kozlovsky, V.Chumakov.
There are interesting pictures showing working moments in shooting the film “They Fought for Their Country”. We can see actors S.Bondarchuk, V.Tikhonov, Y.Nikulin, V.Shukshin, I.Lapikov.
One of the 19 photos made by V.Tyomin in 1967, bears an autograph for M.Y.Teslya.
