A “Parker” Pen
The memorial Museum collection contains two pens of the “Parker” company, that belonged to M.A. Sholokhov. In the photo we can see one of them: it was just the pen the writer put his last signature with.
The second “Parker” pen also used by M.A. Sholokhov is displayed in the exposition of the House-Museum, in a smaller study of the writer, and the visitors can see it during the excursion.
Sholokhov began using the “Parker” pens in the 1950-s: first they were with a golden pen, then they were ball-pens.
The “Parker” pens are well-known all over the world. The Corporation was founded by a former teacher George Parker, and for over 120 years the company has kept its ground in the world market. Just with the “Parker” pens the pacts of the Germany complete capitulation and Japan capitulation in the Second World war were signed.
