The Writer’s Cigarette Holder
A cigarette-holder of the English manufacturing company “Dunhill” of the mid XX century was granted to the Museum in 2008 by Svetlana Mikhailovna Sholokhova, the daughter of the writer. M.A. Sholokhov used it in the 1980-s.
The cigarette holder consists of two parts: a tip of brown colour and a lip of black colour. On the lip above the junction there is a small white dot of ivory.
Initially the dot was made on the upper part of the mouth-piece to avoid assembling errors, later it became a certain mark of quality and a distinctive mark of the “Dunhill” company.
