For M.A. Sholokhov hunting was one of the favourite kinds of leisure. Contemplating the nature, meeting with interesting people, talking in a friendly atmosphere enriched the writer, presented him unforgettable impressions.
A big catch was not what Sholokhov hunted for, but sometimes, when others returned empty-handed, he brought a trophy. And often, not to let his companion return home empty-handed, he gave his trophy to him.
