The Excursion and Exhibition Centre “People’s House” of the Museum-Reserve of A.M.Sholokhov finishes the run of the exhibition “Genius Loci” by Karp Pashinyan, the famous photo artist.
Sholokhov’s Library was Added with a Book “Satires” by Juvenal D.

The Internet project “In Search of the Lost Library” aroused a great interest of bibliophiles and booksellers. Recently, within the frames of the project, a book “Satires” by Juvenal Decimus was found and added to the book collection of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov. This book is an analogue of that existed in Sholokhov’s prewar library.

“Kruzhilin Toloki” in the Homeland of Mikhail Sholokhov

On September 4, the literary and ethnographical holiday “Kruzhilin Toloki” will take place in Kruzhilin Village at the Cossack farmstead for the seventh time. The holiday will take the participants and viewers 100 years back, will enable them to meet with the personages of Sholokhov’s works and write their line into the unique Open Air Novel.

The Crimean Ethnographical Museum opens an exhibition “The Word and Glory of Russia” from the collection of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. The exhibition is devoted to the historical development of the Don Cossacks who made glory of Russia, and by the word of Sholokhov it has become the word of Russia.
A.I.Sergin, a Cousin of M.A.Sholokhov

In July of 2016, it is the 120th anniversary of Alexander Ivanovich Sergin, a cousin of M.A.Sholokhov. He was born in 1896, in Stanitsa Ust-Medveditskaya, the Voisko Donskoye Region. (the town of Serafimovich since 1933) to the family of Ivan Leontyevich Sergin and Olga Mikhailovna Sergina. They had five children: Alexander, Valentin, Vladimir, Mariya and Ivan. Sasha Sergin went to parochial school.
