A New Ecological Special Course

The project “Ecological Museum School” in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov provides a special course to inform children about dates, events and holidays of the ecological calendar. It was developed for students of middle school age.

The class “The Wise Nature Teaches Us in Every Season” held on December, 8, by the Museum workers for the students of the Sholokhov school was timed to the International Volunteer Day. It was purposed for the formation of environmental awareness and development of ecological culture based on the knowledge of the relationship between human beings and nature.

The Museum-Reserve workers passing through the arboretum route “The Trail of Druids” told the children about the spiritual traditions of the Slavic peoples, significance of trees in the forefathers’ culture, the influence of a tree biofield on the human biofield and recreational importance of the forest atmosphere. Each of the students using an ancient horoscope of Druids could find “their own” plant and “charge” themselves with energy on touching the tree.

The children and the Museum workers scavenged the site after careless tourists at the site of the natural monument “The Oak of Vyoshenskaya” and at the route “The Trail of Druids”.

The class was ended with a merry competition; the winning team was awarded the Certificate of Honour of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.
