NewsDon Country is Rich in Big Talents28.10.2015The ceremony of awarding the winners at the municipal stage of the All-Russian essay contest took place in Sholokhov Centre on October, 27, in Rostov-on-Don. The contest is aimed at finding talented schoolchildren, development of positive attitude of the younger generation to the Russian language and literature, raising the prestige of the competent Russian language skills and knowledge of literature. The event was participated by N.O.Simachenko, Deputy Head of the Education Department of Rostov-on-Don, I.V. Borodina, Deputy Director of the Information and Analytical Centre of Education, the contest winners, teachers and directors of the city educational institutions. The awarding ceremony was conducted by M.A.Alexandrova, the winner in the contest “The Teacher of the Don-2014”, a laureate of the All-Russian contest “Pedagogical Debut-2014” and Z.Yermakov, the winner in the contest “The Teacher of the Don-2015”, a laureate of the All-Russian contest “Pedagogical Debut-2015”. The winners were awarded prizes and diplomas. The jury noted a good knowledge of literary texts, deep penetration into the subjects chosen, individuality and compliance with the basic characteristics of literary genres of the contestants. The teachers of the Russian language and literature, who supervised the work of the talented children, were awarded Letters of Thanks by the Rostov Education Department for their high professionalism, creative work and arranging conditions for development of gifted children. N.S.Kazinskaya, Head of Sholokhov Centre, congratulated the children on their victory in the contest and wished them further success at the regional and all-Russian stages. The children enjoyed the folk song concert (directed by L.Bychenko and V.Khripalov). Then the participants and guests of the awarding ceremony attended the exhibition “Alexander Pushkin. The Life and Lyre”.
