The Exhibition of Sholokhov Museum in the Public Chamber of Russia

On November, 2, the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov will present the exhibition “Don.Sholokhov.Russia” in the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.

The exhibition is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the great writer and the Year of Literature in Russia. The main theme of the exhibition is the life and work of M.A.Sholokhov, his public work and the world significance of the writer’s works.

The documents, photographs, fragments of the documentary film of the Rostov newsreel studio will tell about the ceremony of awarding Sholokhov the Nobel Prize in December of 1965 for the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” “in recognition of the artistic power and integrity that he displayed in his Don historical epic about the life stages of the Russian people”.

The visitors will learn about the Don country, Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya and its sights, and about the work of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.

The exhibition will run on November, 2–24, 2015, from 9.00 till 18.00 in the building of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation in:

 

Moscow ГСП-3, 7 Miusskaya Square, bldg 1, the hall of the ground floor.
