The Projects of Sholokhov Museum are Winners of the National Prize “Russian Event Awards”

23.10.2015

On October, 21–22, in Kazan, there was held the Final of the National Prize in event tourism “Russian Event Awards”, where the projects of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov gained a victory: the holiday “Kruzhilin Toloki” won the Grand Prix in the nomination “The Best Event in Spreading Folk Traditions and Crafts” and “Sholokhov Spring” won the First Place in the nomination “The Best Event in Culture”.

The ceremony of awarding the Prize winners was joined by Vladimir Medinsky, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Ildar Khalikov, Prime-Minister of the Tatarstan Republic, and Serghey Korneyev, Deputy Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism.

104 projects from 36 regions of Russia competed for gaining a victory in the Final; in general, in 2015, 688 projects from 69 regions of Russia competed in gaining the award.

The expert council including 75 specialists in the field of event tourism highly appreciated the projects of Sholokhov Museum, which also became the leaders in the audience award rating as voted by the Internet users: “Sholokhov Spring” received 1080 votes, “Kruzhilin Toloki” – 851votes (the third place was taken by the festival “Antonovskiye Yabloki”– 756 votes).

We thank everyone who has supported the Museum projects with their votes. The festivals “Sholokhov Spring” and “Kruzhilin Toloki” are genuinely folk, and therefore, the winning in the competition is our common victory.

In 2015, “Sholokhov Spring” will be held on May, 27–29, and “Kruzhilin Toloki”– on September, 4.

You are welcome to Sholokhov country!
