Young Ecologists Exchange Their Experience

Over 40 schoolchildren sent their research papers to enter the contest themed “Environmental Education and Awareness of the Younger Generation” announced by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov within the frames of the XV Rally of the Children and Youth Environmental Movement “Sholokhov Source”.

The contest was joined by the young ecologists from the Rostov, Astrakhan, Oryol, Saratov, Tambov, Moscow, Smolensk and Belgorod regions, Krasnodar and Stavropol territories, from North Ossetia, Adygea, Kalmykia, Chechnya, Dagestan and from Belarus, Kazakhstan and Ukrain. This year the geography of the “Sholokhov Source” movement has grown considerably.

The works on the subjects “Environmental and Educational Activity”, ”Rational Nature Management”, “Applied Ecology. The Experience of Environmental Research”, “M.A.Sholokhov. Touches to the Portrait”, “Sholokhov Source is 15” completely disclose the theme and show a detailed research. The young researchers are interested in deeper learning of the biography of M.A.Sholokhov, his creative heritage and contribution to the conservation of nature.

Some of the most interesting works tell about the environmental activities in educational institutions. The experience gained by the young ecologists will be studied and summed up by the Museum specialists.
