The rain could not cast a gloom over the Literary and Folklore holiday: “Vyoshenskiye Vesnushki” were so brightly radiant with dresses, songs, dances, smiles, so that the viewers hidden under their umbrellas stormily applauded and cried out “Bravo!” and “Encore!”.
The Time That has Become the History

By the 65th anniversary of the victorious May the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve has prepared an exhibition “The Time of Victories”. It covers a period from 1941 till 1961 and tells about our people who got through the hardest war, gained the victory in the fight against the insidious enemy, reconstructed the economy and were the first in the world to send their representative into space.
The Great Truth about the War is on the Run

35 years ago the film “They Fought for Their Country” went on the run. According to the film director S.F. Bondarchuk the film was to tell the truth about the Great Patriotic war – with blood, death and a great belief in the victory. As well, Serghey Fyodorovich tried to convey explicitly the very spirit of Sholokhov’s work.
The 65th Victory Day in Vyoshenskaya

On May, 9, the residents of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya marched in a holiday column headed by the veterans of the Great Patriotic war, to the memorial of the perished soldiers. There was a solemn meeting dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory.

On the 2nd of May it is the 100th anniversary of Fyodor Viktorovich Tumilevich (1910-1979). He was the well-known folklorist and a talented literary critic, who devoted his life to the study of the folk literature. Owing to Tumilevich we have got acquainted with the poetic heritage of the Cossacks-Nekrasovists.
A Concert Lesson of “Zarnitsa”

On the 21st of April the members of the people’s folk group “Zarnitsa” gave a concert lesson for the schoolchildren of the Sholokhov school on the theme of “The Don Cossack Historic Songs” at the “People’s House” of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.
