“Accordion King” of Vyoshenskaya is 70!
02.09.2010A session devoted to the creative work of Pyotr Alekseyevich Chukarin, a composer, accordionist-virtuoso of Vyoshenskaya, the member of the folklore group “Zarnitsa”, was held in the Excursion-Exhibition centre “The People’s House” of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve. The concert which turned into a bright indelible holiday of the folk art joined the best masters of the Cossack song and dance.
The concert session was devoted to the 70th anniversary of Pyotr Alekseyevich. He was greeted by the director of the State M.A. Sholokhov Museum-Reserve A.M. Sholokhov. The groups “Zarnitsa” and “Atamantsi” performed the popular songs of Pyotr Chukarin and the people’s most favourite old Cossack songs.
In the finale of the concert the moved “accordion king” thanked the audience for a warm reception and said, that the performance of his songs by the soloists and groups was the best present for him. The song greetings of the groups “Zarnitsa”, “Atamantsi” and “Stanichniki” made bright pages of the wonderful concert.
