Sholokhov Museum at the IV All-Russian Festival-Contest “Tourist Souvenir”

The National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve became the finalist of the festival-contest “Tourist Souvenir”. The contest was held in several stages. The first stage, by correspondence, started in July 2018. 2296 products from 63 regions of Russia claimed for the victory. The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov submitted for the experienced jury a souvenir “Spinning Wheel” designed and made by the Museum worker A.M.Frolov. The souvenir is a 5 times smaller copy of the object, which was most important for Cossack women.

In the final of the regional contest held during August, 2018, in Moscow, within the First Tourist Week of the regions of Russia “Tour Week-2018”, the souvenir “Spinning Wheel” of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov took the 3rd place in the nomination “Ethnographic Souvenir” in the high price category.

The National Final took place during October 26–27, 2018, in Nizhny Novgorod. The event was organized by the Department of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod City Administration and ФРОС RegionPR.

310 works from 41 regions of the country competed for the championship. The souvenir “Spinning Wheel” aroused great interest of the participants and visitors and was deservedly awarded a special diploma ”For popularization of historical heritage”.
