Sholokhov Museum is the Winner in “Tourist Souvenir” Contest

The souvenirs shown by the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov at the All-Russian Festival-Contest “Tourist Souvenir” were recognized the best in the nominations “Ethnographic Souvenir” and “Souvenir of the Region”. The contest was held within the “Tourism Week of the Regions of Russia” during August 14–19, 2018, in Moscow.

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov presented two souvenir works – “Spinning Wheel” (in the nomination “Ethnographic Souvenir”) and “Cossack Shlychka” (a Cossack female hair-do article) (in the nomination “Souvenir of the Region”). By the results of the contest The Museum was awarded the Diploma with the right to participate in the final of the All-Russian contest “Tourist Souvenir” 2018, which will be held in October, in Nizhny Novgorod.

309 names of tourist products were submitted for the jury from 29 regions of the country in 10 nominations.

In the section of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov the visitors learned a lot of interesting things about the Don region and the sights of Sholokhov country. The Moscovites and guests of the capital were greatly impressed by the thematic workshops on making dolls of fabric and bast, on painting wooden and glass souvenirs, on making grass mats.
