Exhibition “The Don.Sholokhov.Russia” is Opened in Ryazan

The exhibition “The Don.Sholokhov.Russia” from the collection of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov started its run in the Ryazan Historical Architectural Museum-Reserve, in Oleg Palace, on March 16, 2018.

The exhibition opening ceremony was joined by V.V.Surkov, Head of the Department for National, Religious Associations and the Cossacks of the Ryazan Region Ministry for Territorial Entities Affairs, E.I.Bunyashina, Director of the Ryazan Philharmonic Society, Cossacks of the Ryazan Yurt Cossack Society and ataman N.M.Stolyar, and the workers of the Ryazan Museum-Reserve.

The guests were welcomed by Olga Sergeyevna Krechetova, Director of the Ryazan Historical Architectural Museum-Reserve. She was sure that such an interesting and big exhibition would attract attention and interest of the residents and guests of Ryazan. Olga Alexandrovna Anistratenko, Director of the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve, thanked for the opportunity of exhibiting in the land of Ryazan, the homeland of the Sholokhovs family. The father of the writer, Alexander Mikhailovich Sholokhov, was born in Zaraisk, the Ryazan Region. “Our museums are connected by another interesting project,– said O.A.Anistratenko,– a joint exhibition of Yesenin museums “And Again I am Travelling…” which will open in Sholokhov-Centre of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov in Rostov-on-Don. We are glad to have such a fruitful cooperation.”

The visitors were interested in the exhibition, asked a lot of questions and shared their impressions about the works and films based on the books by M.A.Sholokhov. Leaving the exhibition many of the Ryazan visitors were making their plans of visiting the homeland of M.A.Sholokhov.

The exhibition will run in Oleg Palace of the Ryazan Kremlin until May 20, 2018.
