Welcome to Sholokhov Country!

The Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov continues showing you the sights of the Upper Don area and invites you to join the project “Welcome to Sholokhov Country!” Now you see a sight of the River Don from the Shutov Mountain. This is the place, where shooting the film “The Quiet Don” (the film director S.Bondarchuk) took place, and the scenery – Cossack houses of the Melekhovs and the Astakhovs are preserved here.

Each Internet user can download for free the desktop picture for your computer. You can select a right size picture to fit your monitor. Each month a new picture is added.

We hope following a virtual tour you will like to come to the homeland of the great writer and visit the Museum-Reserve.
