News“Dear to Me Immensely…”20.02.2016A Recital “Dear to Me Immensely…” was held on February 19, in the Palace of Culture of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya. It was devoted to the memory of Mikhail Sholokhov, the glorifier of the Don Cossacks. These February events prepared by the Museum-Reserve have become a tradition. On such days the house of the Palace of Culture is overcrowded leaving no room for all who wished to hear and remember about the favourite writer. That night the audience was shown an artistic and literary composition telling about “the Bukanovskaya period” of the life of Mikhail Alexandrovich, about the start of his literary activity in Moscow, the work on the short stories in Karghinskaya and about formation of his civic stand. The actors performed Sholokhov’s letters to Mariya Petrovna, which she kept for all her life like a great treasure, to show the great writer as a person close and clear to everyone. Mikhail Alexandrovich and Mariya Petrovna lived 60 years together. Their memories performed by the Museum actors vividly showed their life. The composition was accompanied by sand animation (by Vera Menshchikova from Rostov-on-Don) projected on the backdrop of the stage to imitate a change of scenes to recreate the atmosphere of the early period of life and work of M.A.Sholokhov. The artistic and literary composition “Dear to Me Immensely…” impressed the audience a lot to meet again with the life of the great Russian writer and Man.
