The Conference Devoted to the Work of Sholokhov in the World Literature Institute
29.05.2015The Institute of the World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences, on June, 2–3, 2015, will hold an International scientific conference “The Literary Heritage of M.A.Sholokhov in the XXI Century”, which will be joined by the scholars from Russia, Lithuania, Serbia, China and India. The program is planned to include three plenary meetings (19 participants in all) and a roundtable talk “Studies in the Work of Sholokhov: Modern State and Prospects”. The conference is organized by the Institute of the World Literature of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the National M.A.Sholokhov Museum-Reserve.
Before the end of 2015, it is planned to carry out a scientific critically correct publication of the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don” by M.A.Sholokhov (in 2 volumes) with a textual afterword by Y.A.Dvoryashin and G.N.Vorontsova.
