The Exhibition “Don.Sholokhov.Russia” is Opened in the Don State Public Library
24.04.2015In the year of the 110th anniversary of Mikhail Alexandrovich Sholokhov, the Museum-Reserve goes on with a series of exhibitions about the life and wok of the great writer. On April, 22, 2015, the Don State Public Library opened the exhibition “Don.Sholokhov.Russia”.
The exhibition displays 47 photos from the collection of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov published in different years and from the collection of the Don State Public Library.
At the opening ceremony, T.O.Osipova, a Sholokhov scholar, Candidate of Philological Sciences, told about the history of the novel “And Quiet Flows the Don”. K.G.Pashiniyan, a photo artist, Member of the Union of Journalists and the Union of Designers of Russia, told about the work with original photos in the stores of the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov and shared his secrets of the photo art.
The pupils of the lyceum “Mudrost” (wisdom) and of school № 28, with a great interest viewed the exhibition, listened to the episodes from the life of M.A.Sholokhov and made entries in the Guest Book.
The exhibition “Don.Sholokhov.Russia” will run till May, 19, 2015, in the exhibition hall of the Don State Public Library. The admission is free.
