“The Space Distant and Close”

Complex interactive classes for children “The Space Distant and Close” on the materials of the exhibition “Life in Weightlessness” presented by the State K.Tsiolkovsky Museum of the History of Cosmonautics were held in the Museum-Reserve of M.A.Sholokhov.

In the classes the children learned about the history of cosmonautics development, about the very first and modern spaceships, the clothes which the cosmonauts were wearing when flying into the orbit and which they wear on board the space station, how and what they eat and what tools they work with.

The children saw the exhibits, video fragments, did crossword puzzles on a space topic and then made up their own stories about space imagining themselves space travellers and using the knowledge they had acquired. Then the children   made sand art pictures of new planets, galaxies, spaceships and extraterrestrials.

In the class “The Space Distant and Close” over a hundred students of Stanitsa Vyoshenskaya expanded their knowledge of space and its exploration, created space images and practised in sand art picturing.
